What is happening?
The UIS will apply the OneDrive 1TB storage quota to all staff and student Microsoft 365 accounts (Microsoft A3 and A5 licence holders) on 19 June 2024.
The quota is already in place for new accounts and existing accounts using less than 1TB.
How it will affect users
The UIS will email the staff and students whose accounts currently exceed the new quota (1% of accounts) on Wednesday 21 February, asking them to review their storage usage.
Accounts exceeding the quota on 19 June will become read-only.
When this happens, users will not be able to upload, edit or sync any new files to their OneDrive. They will only be able to download and delete files to get back under their storage limit.
